SAVING OF RESOURCES
With the aim of creating an increasingly sustainable reality, Albini Yarns constantly invests in its industrial sites, renovating plants with cutting-edge technologies and using production processes with a low environmental impact.
In all stages, Albini Yarns pays the highest attention to saving resources, implementing efficiency technologies to reduce water and energy consumption and using alternative energy sources.
SUSTAINABLE RAW MATERIALS
Albini Yarns works on constant research and selection of sustainable and eco-friendly raw materials. Examples are organic cotton used for GOTS certified yarns, recycled cotton for GRS certified yarns, cellulosic fibres of botanical origin and certified “mulesing-free” wool, as well as linen and hemp which are considered among the most ecological fibres in the world.
Furthermore, Albini Yarns aims to expand more transparent and sustainable agricultural practices within new geographical and productive contexts.
ELIMINATION OF HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS
Albini Yarns is committed to the search for new solutions for a more sustainable production also from a chemical point of view. All the yarns produced and sold by the company comply with the product standards required by the market and current regulations and are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified for the absence of toxic content in raw materials, semi-finished and finished products.
Albini Yarns supports its partners by providing controlled products and joining the fight for the elimination of hazardous chemicals from the production cycle.
TRANSPARENCY AND TRACEABILITY
The traceability of the entire supply chain and the transparency of production processes are essential requirements of the way Albini Yarns operates. Transparency and traceability are a guarantee not only of the origin of the products, but also of their quality and their ethical and sustainable production.
This is possible thanks to a vertically integrated supply chain, a careful selection of partners, collaborations with farmers and third-party certifiers, such as Oritain™.
